Winter Winds

Hey people.....

Hope you are all enjoying your day so far, and if you haven't enjoyed your day today, and are positive that you won't enjoy what tomorrow has in store either, then today's post is for you!...

I had a lengthy chat with one of my good friends today and we were talking about how hard each season of life is.....when I say season what I mean is that every part of life is different, and sometimes you can find yourself looking back and thinking how 'sunny' a certain part of your life was, or how 'cold' another part of your life was. So you could say that your life has different seasons, some feeling like you had the best few years or few months of summer, and at other points feeling that no matter how hard you tried the rain just wouldn't go away that winter.....

I guess I feel a bit like summer one day, and winter the next a lot of the time, but I just wanted to share how encouraged I am that no season lasts forever, and that we need each season to make us who we are and who we will go on to become....someone who puts it a lot better than me is Mumford & Sons, who have won a little piece of my heart recently....in their song 'Winter winds' they talk about seasons so beautifully....
'And if your strife strikes at your sleep
Remember spring swaps snow for leaves
You'll be happy and wholesome again
When the city clears and sun ascends'
I don't understand all of their lyrics to be honest, but wow do they manage to capture something beautiful through their music....I'll no doubt be sharing a lot more of their poetry with you...but for now, this here video will have to do...enjoy...

  1. Ah Abz, I mentioned something about the philosophy of seasons in my last blog (u needta be following me too btw!)...and it’s so true. I've been spreading that wisdom around as it really allows us to make sense of different stages in our lives...they are just like seasons and some can be as sporadic as the seasons in Britain while others as beautiful as the seasons in North Africa...and each season has a lesson within it. Love the post...love u xx
